After the departure of Michele Clapton, Game of Thrones costumer designed for the first 5 seasons, the question has been rolling around about who would be picking up the reigns for the position. We can now confirm that April Ferry, the Emmy winning costume designer, will be taking on the position for the sixth season of Game of Thrones.
April Ferry is known for her work on movies such as Jurassic World, Elysium, Donnie Darko, and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. As well as her previous work on HBO's Rome, where she won her Emmy for costume design.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter David Benioff and Dan Weiss said:
There is so much left to do on the costume front, so many changes left for the characters and ground for them to cover, and we're so grateful to have someone as brilliant as April onboard to create the costumes that tell the story's final chapters.
