Viewership Drops for "Kill the Boy"

The numbers are in for last weeks episode of Game of Thrones, titled "Kill the Boy", and they're not what I had expected.  According to Nielsen, the first airing of "Kill the Boy" was watched by 6.56 million viewers - making it the least watched episode of the season so far.  Although it still topped the charts for its Nielsen rating.

I had expected this episode to pull in closer to 7 million viewers, being the first non-leaked episode of the season.  Coming in with only 6.56 million viewers is kind of shocking to me.  Historically episode 5 of each season has pulled in a higher viewership than every preceding episode, even the premiere.  Maybe it was the fact that "Kill the Boy" coincided with Mothers Day.  Whatever the case may be for the lowered viewership, maybe this is the type of viewership we should expect to see for the duration of the season.

Whatever the case may be, it will be interesting to see how next weeks episode does.  No holidays, and no leaks.  How do you think next weeks episode, "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken", will do?  Do you think it will stay of par with these past few weeks, or will it come closer to the impressive numbers of the season premiere?
