Game of Thrones Nominated for Writers Guild Awards

The 2015 Writers Guild Award nominees have been announced, and Game of Thrones has been nominated in two categories.

The first nomination Game of Thrones grabbed was for best Drama Series.  Game of Thrones will be going up against some tough competition in this one, but definitely has a chance to walk away with this award.  The second category was for Episodic Drama, gaining the nominated for "The Lion and The Rose" written by, the one and only, George R.R. Martin.  Unfortunatley we wont be seeing George R.R. Martin returning to write an episode in season 5 - he's a bit busy trying to finish The Winds of Winter.

The Writers Guild Award winners will be announced on Saturday, February 14.
