Isaac Confirms the Return of Bran

In a recent interview with the Irish Examiner, Isaac Hempstead-Wright confirmed his return as Bran Stark for the sixth season of Game of Thrones.  Isaac said:

I can’t say a lot but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions.

Now this should come as no surprise, since we already had Dan and David's plan for Bran laid out before the start of the fifth season.  When Benioff talked to Entertainment Weekly, he explained Bran's absence from the fifth season by saying:

Like, it would be far less interesting, after The Empire Strikes Back to have an hour-long movie in between Empire and Return of the Jedi where Luke is training.  It’s so much cooler to cut from end of Empire to begging of Return, where he’s become the Jedi.

Game of Thrones San Diego Comic-Con Panel

The Game of Thrones San Diego Comic-Con panel was held last night, and although the cast couldn't say to much about the upcoming sixth season, it was still amazing to see all the actors together.

Check the full panel in HD below.

Although we didn't get any breaking news about the sixth season, we did get two short videos.  One showing some of the actors audition reels, and another showing the pop culture impact Game of Thrones has had.

Yohn Royce Returning for Season 6

In a recent interview Rupert Vansittart spoke about his characters return for the sixth season of Game of Thrones.  Rupert Vansittart played the character Yohn Royce, one of the lords of the Vale.  Rupert isn't very specific about how much of a  role his character will have in the season, except for the fact that he will be filming in July and September.  It'll definitely be interesting to see where they might take his character, especially in light of how the show has changed around the Vale's storyline.

Now for those of you who forgot who Yohn Royce is, here are the essentials.  Yohn Royce is the lord of House Royce, and is the Lord of Runestone.  In season 4 Royce sat on the tribunal that tried Baelish for the death of Lysa Arryn.  During this time Sansa revealed her true identity to the members of the tribunal (including Yohn Royce, Anya Waynwood, and Ser Vance Corbray).  We last saw Yohn Royce in season 5, where we see that he has taken on the role of fostering Robin Arryn at Runestone.

You can watch the full interview from Flicks and the City here.

So what do you expect to see of Yohn Royce in the sixth season of Game of Thrones?  Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

George R.R. Martin Not Writing an Episode for Season 6

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly George R.R. Martin commented on plan to double down on his commitment to focus on finishing The Winds of Winter.  A while back George took to his Not a Blog to tell us that he would cutting back on the public appearances and interviews so that he could focus his time on finishing the sixth book in his series.

Now George has confirmed that he would, once again, step away from penning an episode for HBO's Game of Thrones - as he previously did for season 5.  Martin has also canceled his planned convention appearance for the upcoming San Diego Comic Con.  All of this is so that George can finish The Winds of Winter before the sixth season of Game of Thrones.

Maybe I’m being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish. But I canceled two convention appearances, I’m turning down a lot more interviews—anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done.”

It's good to see how much time George is setting aside to focus in on finishing TWOW.  So do you think George will finish, and get TWOW published before season 6 airs?
